Brent is a Principal and CPEng qualified senior engineer with over 15 years’ geotechnical and civil engineering experience.  As Team Leader of the South Island geotechnical group, his responsibilities include managing engineers, engineering geologists, and field technicians; co-ordinating fieldwork and reporting; and building client relationships and ongoing business development. 
Brent is involved with a wide variety of residential and commercial projects, often providing expert witness advice/testimony for legal proceedings.  He has experience of large earthworks contracts for civil construction, shallow and deep foundation design including ground improvement options, and liquefaction analysis.  Brent’s recent focus is on the management of geotechnical investigations, analysis, and reporting for earthquake damaged properties following the Canterbury earthquakes, as well as assessments of properties for increased liquefaction vulnerability.
