With more than 25 years’ experience as a consulting engineer, Brett has an in-depth knowledge of investigation, design, contract document preparation, and supervision for civil and geotechnical projects.  He manages teams of engineers, geologists, and technicians, overseeing and reviewing projects, problem solving, and providing advice and alternative solutions.

Civil and geotechnical project management experience includes subdivisional assessment, ground stabilisation and retention measures, earthworks, slope stability assessment, retaining structures, road pavements, foundations, and stormwater and wastewater reticulation.

Brett is increasingly called upon to undertake technical peer reviews and prepare expert evidence.

In his capacity as Director, Brett is involved with shaping the RILEY consultancy, and is committed to the review, evaluation, implementation, and continual improvement of quality assurance objectives and policies.
