David Carruth is a chartered civil engineer, specialising in hydrology and water resources engineering. Since graduating in 2006 from Imperial College London with a Master’s degree in Hydrology David has worked on a variety of water-related projects globally, across the infrastructure and mining sectors, working in and completing projects on six continents.

David has extensive hydrology experience, specialising in climate data analysis, hydrometric surveys, water resources assessments, hydrological and hydraulic modelling and flood risk mapping, in addition to wide-ranging design, project management and construction supervision experience in rivers and coastal, water supply, and wastewater projects.

David has specialist knowledge of hydrological, hydraulic, mapping and engineering specialist software including HECRAS, HECHMS, MIKE, WMS, HY-8, Flood Mapper, TUFLOW, QGIS, ArcGIS, Arc Hydro, UPD, Goldsim and AutoCAD.

Outside of work David enjoys spending lots of time outdoors with his two young kids Evie (7) and Caillen (4).
