Paul is a Geologist and Geotechnical Engineer with a broad range of project experience. He has worked on large roading, mining, and earthquake recovery infrastructure projects, and has been a design engineer on secondment for two of New Zealand’s largest infrastructure rebuild projects after both the Christchurch and Kaikoura earthquakes. He was lead designer on several large rockfall mitigation and slope stability projects and has considerable construction supervision experience, which enables him to utilise practical site knowledge in his design solutions.

Paul's recent focus has been on retaining wall design, slope stability assessment, evaluation of rockfall risk, site investigations, and the derivation of geotechnical design parameters. He also has extensive experience in the assessment of liquefaction-prone soils and foundation analysis in challenging geological conditions.

Outside of work Paul enjoys watching sport, spending time with his young family, and experiencing the Canterbury outdoors.
