Titus has more than 20 years’ experience in geotechnical and dam engineering. Over this time he has been influential in the development and regulation of irrigation storage in Canterbury and Marlborough, overseeing design and construction of many projects and advising on the safety and consenting of many more. Titus has been active in the recovery from the Canterbury and Kaikoura earthquakes, including post-event inputs to damaged flood protection schemes such as the Waimakariri/Kaiapoi stopbank system, for which he received commendations from Council. Participation in the Christchurch rebuild has included technical inputs to numerous projects and high-level engagement with insurers and the geotechnical community. More recently, Titus has taken up the role of business lead for Fiji and Pacific Islands workstreams.

Titus has first-hand experience of the value that engineers can add through clear communication of technical insights across industry, resource management forums, building control mechanisms, and the courts. He is an advocate for technically focused career paths, and has played a leading role within the company to develop and implement a talent development framework that supports growth in this area.
