Established in 1984 on Auckland’s North Shore, our Takapuna office is the base for more than 50 engineers, geologists, and technicians who undertake work throughout the New Zealand and areas of the Pacific Basin, including Fiji, Samoa, and The Cook Islands. We work closely with our South Island team to provide specialist engineering consultancy coverage wherever it may be required. Geotechnical engineers and geologists have extensive experience, which includes foundation design, earthworks management, stability analysis, quarry and resource assessment, and contamination investigations. A particular area of expertise is the provision of specialist advice and innovative design solutions for steep or otherwise difficult sites, often comprising diverse soil and rock types. We have a strong team of civil engineers, many of whom specialise in the design and implementation of infrastructure for land development, including sites with challenging geotechnical and stormwater disposal requirements. Our experience of civil contracts, often under NZ 3910, involves design, contract administration, and supervision during construction for a variety of aspects such as pavements, retaining walls, and services reticulation. RILEY has extensive technical ability and experience in all aspects of water resource engineering, particularly with regard to site selection, investigation, and design of dams and hydro-electric facilities. Our North Island water resource team is led by Category A Recognised Dam Engineers. We are frequently commissioned to provide advice and undertake dam safety reviews for all dam structure types and impact classifications. |
