Accounting Manager

Our Takapuna-based Accounting Manager is moving on after many years and we are sad to see her leave.  This vital role is at the heart of the company.  We are ideally looking for a late February start.

Responsibilities include:

  • Accounts payable and receivable (including invoicing, finance charges, statements, and debt collection)
  • Project reporting to assist Project Managers
  • Management of company payments in a timely manner
  • Bank reconciliation and credit card and cash management
  • Weekly timesheet reporting
  • Preparation, processing, and payment of monthly payroll
  • IR Filing and PAYE payments
  • Preparation of GST, FBT, and DWT returns, ensuring timely payment
  • Training and development of accounting support staff
  • Management of NetSuite licences and communication of updates and changes   
  • Attendance at Support Services meetings
  • Maintenance and management of financial filing systems
  • Support for the Finance and Support Services Manager
  • IT Helpdesk support
  • Assistance with setting and carrying out objectives for continuous improvement within the accounting function
  • Assistance with month-end reporting, fixed assets and depreciation, budget set-up, share transfer paperwork and share movements register, Companies Office maintenance, Insurance renewals, strategic pay, and statistic surveys\
About You

The successful candidate will have:
  • 10+ years’ experience in a similar role possibly with an accounting or business administration qualification (or studying towards)  
  • Payroll experience essential (MYOB preferred)
  • Strong IT and systems bias to assist with platform development to improve operating efficiencies and offer IT Helpdesk support
  • Great attention to detail
  • A proactive team player who shows initiative
  • Easy-going nature
  • Consultancy experience preferred
