
Senior/Principal Civil Engineer
THE POSITION
You'll be involved in:
Geotechnical investigations, assessments, analysis and design
Geological mapping, logging and field assessments
Planning and managing site investigations and construction monitoring
Preparing technical reports, proposals and design documentation
Working with clients, contractors, councils and multidisciplinary project teams
Supporting project delivery, budgeting and commercial performance
Building strong client relationships and contributing to successful project outcomes
You'll have the opportunity to work across residential, commercial and land development projects, gaining experience through all stages of project delivery.
ABOUT YOU
You'll likely bring:
• A BE (Civil) ideally Washington Accord, or a BSc in Geology with postgraduate Engineering Geology studies
• 4-7 years' experience in geotechnical engineering or engineering geology
• Experience delivering residential and commercial land development projects
• Experience planning and managing field investigations and interpreting ground conditions
• Knowledge of New Zealand geotechnical standards, design practices and regulatory requirements
• Strong technical, analytical and report-writing skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach
• A full New Zealand Driver Licence
Experience with software such as Core-GS, RSLog, Gint, QGIS, CLiq, WALLAP, the Rocscience suite, Leapfrog or similar will be highly regarded.

We are interested in hearing from people with a minimum of 12-years+ civil experience who have the following: -

A BE Civil qualification or equivalent (Washington Accord).

CPEng accreditation.

Broad Civil design skills and experience in a land development e.g. 3-waters, earthworks, tendering, contract administration and supervision.

Strong track record in managing feasibility, preliminary design, detailed design, consenting and construction stages of projects.

Strong ability in leading and delivery projects.

Strong client relationship and development skills.

A business development focus.
